Absorbable Sutures

Absorbable sutures lose tensile strength progressively after implantation, then are broken down and cleared by the body rather than removed. Across the families in this catalog, full absorption ranges from approximately 42 to approximately 210 days depending on the polymer and construction. Wound support is engineered to last only as long as the healing window requires, not permanently.
